These rankings give high weightage to teaching, research, and citations, making them a reliable ranking methodology for students to assess the academic reputation of a university. A total of 1904 universities from 108 countries were considered by THE for the ranking list. The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), ranks best in India, followed by Anna University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Mahatma Gandhi University, and 41 other universities that have made it to the top 1000 rankings.
