Reshika of the Commerce Department has been selected to represent Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Directorate in the All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC).

The All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) is a highly regarded annual event organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India. It serves as a platform for cadets to showcase their skills, discipline, and leadership abilities. The selection of Reshika in the category of map reading is a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication to her training.

Reshika, along with 23 other cadets, started their journey to the final camp in Delhi on September 16th, departing from the previous camp held in Idayapatti region near Madurai. The AITSC is a 12-day programme designed to test the physical and mental endurance of cadets, as well as their proficiency in various military disciplines.

This year's AITSC was held at the historically famous Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi from September 19th to 30th. The event saw a total of 1,547 cadets, comprising 867 boys and 680 girls, from across the nation. It is a diverse and inclusive platform that brings together young cadets from different regions, in order to foster unity and a sense of national pride.

AITSC stands unique for its training regimen and emphasis on discipline, leadership and teamwork. Cadets undergo extensive training in map reading, weapon handling, drill, physical fitness, and more. The camp is not only a display of physical ability but also a space for intellectual growth, as participants engage in lectures and workshops on various topics, including leadership and nation-building.

Furthermore, this year's camp saw the participation of 17 NCC directors, highlighting the importance and national significance of the event. Reshika's selection reflects her personal dedication and also brings pride to WCC and demonstrates the high level of excellence exhibited by her students. As Reshika and her fellow cadets embark on this challenging journey, they carry with them the hopes and aspirations of their respective regions, and their participation in the AITSC underscores the role of NCC in shaping future leaders for India.
